This past summer we discovered a nearby park with a water feature the kids loved, so we went as much as we could. On this particular day, the kids were wanting a photo shoot, and for not having planned it, they all looked great. Not one of my babies is camera shy!

Company Pride

Back at the end of the summer, James' boss, Jay, had a BBQ at his house. He hired a face painter to entertain all the kiddies. She had no idea what she was in for when our Riley(pictured top) requested the companies logo on her arm. That started an on slaught of the same request by most of the other children. It was such a hoot to see them having a ball with Dad's work buddies.

The boys are back!

I have a bit if catching up to do. I don't plan on going back too far, that would be ridiculous, but there are a few things here and there I would like to get on the blog. Back on January 31st James went to the U of U basketball game with his three best friends. It had been so long since they had all gotten together, no one could really remember when it was. Therefore, it warranted a picture and this was the only serious one in a series of about ten. That is just the way these guys are. They had a great time, and it was so nice to see them having fun like the old days. Next up... MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice! Yes, you read right. They just couldn't miss such a nostalgic opportunity!

Red Letter Day!

RED LETTER DAY! My baby Walker(almost thirteen) has his first real crush. Sigh. He wanted to give this cute girl a Valentine's Day gift, so he got a musical card and teddy bear. I was so nervous for him. I texted him at school, (I know, it is against the rules) and asked him how she liked her gift. He answered that she loved it, she likes him back, and she put hearts all over his locker! Oh MY Goodness! I was so happy and relieved for him! I cannot believe all this growing up stuff. It is going to be really hard to remain cool through all the "love" stuff. So anyway, they are now "together" and I have one more thing to worry about.

So, I am sitting here. I am wondering where even to begin with this. Do I backtrack? Do I just start from this point on? Maybe a bit of both. We'll have to see where this takes me. I am still new at all this. I just got onto Facebook. It has been a really fun thing to find all my friends. So many people I have wondered about for years are popping up.
This has got me thinking about family and friends and the importance of keeping in touch. So despite my reluctance at ever getting this blog thing going, I am going to give it a shot.

Recently, there was an accident with one of my cousins. It has brought us all together in a way that I didn't realize I was needing. We haven't ever stayed in touch like we should. We always say we are going to, but the next funeral or wedding comes along before we get together without any other reason than just to be together. I decided early on sitting in the hospital with my family that this was it. This was where the saying ends and the doing begins. So this is just one of my efforts to start being closer.

I love my family and I am so grateful for them. I am thankful for Heavenly Father and the blessings he showers us with. True miracles happen every day all around us, and I am glad I can see it.

Cameron is officially a walker!

My little guy is now completely mobile! I am really in trouble now! So stinkin cute! This was about a month ago, just a week before his first birthday. Now he walks all over the house in a state of amazement and total joy. He is climbing the stairs and pulling himself up into and onto everything in sight. He may be the seventh, but I am just as excited to see this with him as I was with my first. This mom gig really is rewarding and fun. I am glad every day for my babies and all they bring to my life. He loves to be chased, and although he isn't actually to a full run yet, he thinks he is. As soon as you call his name, he takes off laughing and speed walking! What a hoot!-Amy

I have no idea what I am doing!

So I decided to just go ahead and get a blog started, although I am not quite sure why. It isn't like I have time to do these things. However, I might actually start writing down all the funny things my crazy children do. If that is all this if for, it will be worth the effort.
